Sample Curriculum
Semester 1 - Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification
This will be achieved by a combination of instructor led training and practical work with provided hardware. Trainees will be given access to study materials and "exam cram" materials and will have access to trainers and mentors. Trainees are expected to give their best efforts to complete their exams in the shortest time possible. Trainees will be given access to certification centers to complete their certification exams.
Semester 2 - Practical work experience
Trainees will be sent to various IT projects to assist with on site tasks. This will give the Trainees the opportunity for practical utilisation of their new skills. It will also give IT Skill International the opportunity to observe Trainees skills and dedication to work tasks in a real world IT project scenario and for decisions to be made on the Semester 3 training track.
Semester 3 - Cisco Certified Network Professional or Oracle Certified Professional certification
This is the challenging semester! Intense training to achieve the second major certification for either CCNP or OCP certification IT Skill International will again provide a combination of instructor led training, self study, exam cram and practical training exercises to push the trainees through their tough, but valuable certification
Semester 4 - Practical work experience
Trainees will be sent again to various IT projects to assist with on site tasks. This will give the Trainees the opportunity for practical utilisation of their new skills. It will also give IT Skill International the opportunity to observe Trainees skills and dedication to work tasks in a real world and IT project scenarios and for decisions to be made on if Semester 5 training is justified.
Semester 5 - Practical work experience Optional! Combination of practical work experience and other valuable short course trainings
A combination of possible trainings and IT project work. The trainees will be given some additional short training sessions suited to the IT path that has been agreed by the trainee, HR and IT Skill International Management. This will be determined based on demonstrated expertise, skill and dedication. It will include specialty courses such as SAN management, special backup software, Network management tools, network monitoring tools, deployment tools.
Semester 6 - Practical work experience
This is the final opportunity for trainees to prove their skills and to secure their future with IT Skill International as a highly skilled, highly trained IT professional
